Luke Goetzke joined Columbia University in 2008, and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in experimental astroparticle physics as part of the XENON collaboration. He graduated in 2008 from the University of Chicago with a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Physics. Luke is passionate about searching for answers to the fundamental questions of life, the universe, and everything (first and foremost the nature of dark matter). His love and appreciation for the beauty and mystery of nature also fuels his activities outside of physics, including bird watching, camping, hiking, fishing, and his appreciation for art, literature, and music.
